September’s cake subscription box was a real treat. The boxes went out on the week of my birthday, so I couldn’t resist a bit of a party theme. I say this a lot, but I really do think this is one of my very favourite boxes of all time. I don’t often take a whole box for myself at the end of a busy weekend, but on this occasion I couldn’t resist.
Party Ring Blondies
No childhood party is complete without party rings. In my opinion, they’re one of the best biscuits out there. Sweet and buttery and with all the nostalgia of childhood. These rich and fudgey white chocolate blondies are topped with a party ring before baking. The biscuits remain crispy and give the blondie a birthday cake flavour. Sweet, sticky and super moreish.
Smarties were always one of my absolute favourite childhood sweets and I absolutely love them. A bit like the Easter special mini egg cookies, Smarties work so well with this bake. Sweet and crispy Smarties, encased in a soft and buttery cookie.
Chocolate Orange Brownies
I couldn’t not include Chocolate Orange Brownies in a box for my birthday. They are above all other bakes my absolute favourites, and I think they always will be. My rich and fudgey brownie recipe is flavoured with orange extract, and topped with a slice of Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
I’m so excited for the next few months of baking. Autumn and winter are my favourite seasons to bake in. Not only because it means I’m toasty warm in the kitchen on rainy days, but because of all the flavours too. The next few boxes will feature lots of warm flavours, as well as seasonal bakes and I can’t wait. October’s boxes will be heading out on the 7th October, and you can order your box until 30th September.
A bit more info about the boxes
Each cake subscription box includes 6 slices of bake. There are always 3 different types of bake, meaning you get a real selection each month. These can range from blondies and brownies, cookies and flapjacks, to other bakes which are included every now and then. They always include at least one bake which aren’t available on the website, so you get exclusive treats too.
All block payment subscriptions come with the option to download a gift certificate, meaning you can gift a box any time of the month. If you’re looking for a treat for yourself, you can order a one-off box or sign up to receive month after month of cakey goodness. All boxes are designed to fit through standard-sized letterboxes, meaning you shouldn’t have to be in to receive them.
